The Rotary Club of Monroe is a service organization focused on the Monroe community while supporting the national and international efforts of Rotary International to positively impact the lives of people throughout the world. We are united in the Rotary motto of "Service Above Self."
We are proud to support our community through a wide range of projects. Here is just a sample of our club's projects:
- Hosting Blood Drives in Partnership with the American Red Cross
- Supporting the Wolfe's Den Playground Build at Wolfe Park, including an inspirational Rock Garden for children.
- Support to our Volunteer EMS and Fire Departments for purchases of AEDs, thermal imaging cameras, and equipment for the new EMS Headquarters.
- Sponsor for the Masuk High School "Student of the Month," recognizing a student who exemplifies "Service Above Self."
- Annual Donation of Books for the Celebration of Reading Event at Monroe Elementary Schools
- Rotary Pavilion at Wolfe Park
- Rotary Youth Exchange
- Annual Scholarship Program for Monroe High School Graduates
- Annual Support for Project Warmth, providing Need-Based Funding for Heating Assistance
- Rotary Room at the Edith Wheeler Memorial Library
- Food Drives for the Monroe Food Pantry
- Sock Drives for Area Shelters and Social Service Groups
- A Wide Range of Financial Grants to various community groups including numerous clubs within Monroe Public Schools.
